History

Rafih Jandali (or "Mr. J" as his employees call him) came to Las Cruces in 1967 to earn a degree at New Mexico State University. He, like so many other students, was a frequent diner at Casa Luna. After getting his degree, and moving away, Mr, J. couldn’t help but remember the warm comfort food of Casa Luna. Jandali soon returned to Las Cruces and purchased the restaurant. He help transform Casa Luna into an elegant, comfortable, family friendly and nostalgic Italian restaurant. Casa Luna now severing great Italian food for 45 years, has much of the same atmosphere as it did when it opened. Grapes and vines hang from the ceiling beams and small twinkle lights make a soft glow. Large booths lined up along the wall make for a comfortable or romantic meal. Each booth has its own jukebox station, with "pages" you can flip and numbered and lettered buttons to punch in your favorite tune. Specials including two-for-one pizzas and two-for-one entrees are featured daily. The lunch and dinner buffets are the most popular items. Casa Luna is now serving the original Casa Luna sauce. Casa Luna is still a great place to get great food for a great price! And if you haven’t tried their Lasagna yet, stop by today and order some.
