History

Filling up is never hard to do when you offer as hearty a menu as Fatah Hafassa in his Las Cruces restaurant, International Delights Café.  Who can resist such traditional and Mediterranean-kitchen offerings such as Greek salad, hummus, falafel, baked chicken and lamb kebabs?  Those are just a few of their delectable dishes – also available are a wide range of specialty coffee drinks, teas, breakfast items, and baklava to die for! But if you try only one thing on the menu, you have to try the very popular Mediterranean Veggie.  It’s an awesome compilation of red peppers, olives, artichoke hearts, tomatoes, lettuce, and Swiss cheese. The Mediterranean Veggie is a yummy treasure of international proportions.

Originally from Algeria, Fatah and his family came to Las Cruces from the Santa Fe area in 1997.  Offering a wide variety of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern-influenced dishes, the menu has steadily grown with the restaurant, and Fatah has no plans to halt its growth.  A recently-added wi-fi connection which stretches well into the patio area has created an ever-growing roster of loyal diners. Imported groceries are also an added bonus to this wonderful café.  Small and hard to find imported items are International Delight’s store specialty.  It seems that the Mediterranean has met the New Mexico desert right at the door of International Delights Café.
