Award winning Eagle Ranch Pistachios was founded in 1974 by George and Marianne Schweers who currently manage and own the groves. It was the first pistachio farm in New Mexico. Their pistachios are Star-K Kosher Certified and come in a variety of flavors suitable for any palate. Some of the most popular flavors are Red chile, Garlic & green chile, and Cinnamon Toffee. Other assortments offered are Salted or Unsalted roasted in-shell and roasted without the shell. They also feature a large variety of chocolates and candy.
The “Heart of the Desert” wines were introduced in 2002. Seven different varieties of grape vines, including Chardonnay, Cabernet, Zinfandel, Shiraz, Riesling, Malvasia Bianca, and Gewürztraminer help make up a large collection of wine selections. One of their most popular wines is the “Pistachio Blush” which has a semi-sweet and fruity taste. It’s a blend of white zinfandel and chenin blanc grapes, with pistachio extract. Eagle Ranch has recently introduced a wine club where members can receive two bottles of wine every two months with information and recipes to go with their wine. Eagle ranch currently has a corporate gift program where you can have baskets custom made with your choice of products and advertising on the back of their burlap bags. There are tours offered at the farm which include wine tasting and product sampling.
