History

Zin Valle Vineyards Nestled in the Mesilla Valley Appellation in Canutillo, Texas started in 2000 with just ten empty acres. The current owner and creator Victor Poulos began the vineyard because of his fondness for the history of El Paso and wine. The original grape vines came from California. Due to the great success, they expanded their vineyards with vines from California.
Zin Valle Vineyards is currently managed and operated by Poulos and his family. The winery currently offers a wine club where members can join and receive great discounts on wine merchandise and events. Also offered at the winery is a barrel room for private parties which accommodates up to 50 people or the outdoor lawn which can accommodate up to 200 people. They carry such wines as American Riesling, White Zinfandel, Dry Rose, Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris.
The 6th annual Wine Society of Texas, Texas' Best Wine Competition recognized Zin Valle with second place in the ‘Best New Winery’ category in April of 2005. The Red Zinfandel placed second behind the wine judged as Best of Show. The Red Zinfandel is aged in French Oak Barrels. This dark and intense wine is peppery and full bodied with an aroma of black cherry, and a hint of clove. Wine tasting is offered through out the week.
